We build apps for
sports that matter.

Drift Lab Studio is a Toronto-based app studio. We go deep on one sport at a time — find the gap between the technology that exists and the player who can actually use it, then build the thing that bridges it.

Project 01 — The Cut

Live on iOS

Your AI golf coach.
Knows your game.

Golf tech is evolving every year — but almost none of it is usable for the everyday player. The launch monitor spits out fifty metrics. YouTube is generic. There's no thread connecting any of it.

The Cut changes that. It reads your data, remembers every session, and tells you the three things that actually matter. Anyone with a phone gets a tour-level coach in their pocket.

Things that matter — not fifty. Chase cuts through the noise.
Coaching memory. Every session, every club, every round — remembered.

Generic advice. Everything Chase says is built from your actual numbers.

Photo-first logging

Snap your scorecard or sim screen. Chase reads it and logs everything automatically — no manual entry.

Full club breakdown

Every club in your bag with carry, spin, smash factor, and attack angle. Colour-coded to show what needs work.

Share with your coach

One tap generates a full performance snapshot your real-life coach can open — no app required on their end.

Chase AI

An AI coach that knows your miss pattern, your equipment, your goals — and gives advice that fits your game.

Progress tracking

Handicap trajectory, GIR trend, putts per hole. Watch the numbers move as your game improves.

Sim session mode

Start a session on Trackman or any launch monitor. Chase coaches you live, then wraps up with your key takeaways.

Why we built it

"I was drowning in data and chasing consistency without any real direction."

I played a lot of golf. Went to the sim three times a week. Watched every YouTube video on attack angle and spin rate. Bought the gadgets. Did the drills.

YouTube is generic. The guy in the video doesn't know my numbers, my miss pattern, or that my 6-iron and 7-iron carry the same distance. The launch monitor spits out fifty metrics and I'd fixate on whatever looked bad that day. No thread connecting any of it. No memory. No plan.

So I built The Cut. An AI coach that reads your data, remembers every session, and tells you the three things that actually matter — not twenty. Anyone with a phone gets a tour-level coach in their pocket that knows your game better than you do.

The goal is simple: cut your scores. Everyone's chasing scratch. We're here to help you get there.

The problem
Golf has more data than ever. None of it is connected. Your launch monitor doesn't know your last round. Your scorecard app doesn't know your spin rate. Your YouTube coach doesn't know your name.
The insight
Every tour pro has a coach who remembers everything — every session, every miss, every breakthrough. That relationship is what separates them. AI makes it available to anyone.
The studio
We're based in Toronto. We build in the sports industry because that's where we see the same gap repeating — incredible raw technology, zero usability for the everyday player. That's our target.
